Biography

Using their traditional and urban sensibilities, Texas based group, Los Aztex reach deep into the ocean of American music to create a sound as seamless as water. The six-piece band is led by co-founders Joel Guzman and Sarah Fox. The duo's stunning performances have propelled them into the national stage garnering them three Grammy nominations as well as two Grammy wins in 2004 and 2005.

Los Aztex catalog of recordings range from Cumbia, Rock, Blues and more. From festivals across the globe, dances, cultural centers, including Le Grand Soufflet in Rennes, France, the Lincoln Center (NYC) The Arena (Seattle, WA) and the annual Festival Louisianne (Lafayette,LA). 

Los Aztex  continues to incorporate diverse styles into a sound all their own, creating an excellent fusion of tropical rhythms and roots music.
